Main Purpose of the Manufacturing Engineer:

  • To work alongside the machining teams, applications engineering-programming teams located in the production environment with a key focus on maximising machining capabilities, consistent right first-time products whilst striving to improve lead-times and maximise performance without compromise to quality.
  • Support the standardisation and simplification of the machining processes and documentation that enables the operators to execute their roles effectively, while enabling new employees and apprentices to have a clear standardised plan to maximise their development.

Testing Operator

Inspire Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Testing Operator to join our well-established client in the Derbyshire area. The responsibilities of this role are to prepare and test Metallographic test pieces, to test various mechanical tests.

Key Objectives of the Testing Operator:

  • Conduct any pre-shift H&S checks as specified; for example: Coolant levels, emergency stops.
  • Housekeeping (5s duties).
  • Operate moulding presses, cut off machines and polishing machines for preparation of Metallographic samples.
  • Testing and reporting of grain flow slices and micro samples including grain size, cleanness, decarb and alpha content.

  • Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in operations coordination or a similar role preferred.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
    • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
    • The role of Operations Coordinator will suit someone who has experience in scheduling deliveries for multi vehicles, scheduling driver routes.
    • Experience in dealing with couriers and it will be strongly advantageous if you have previous experience in export documentation.

Main Duties:

  • Preparing documents for transport and processing in a timely manner.
  • Booking In goods both from Suppliers and Goods out with our customer base.
  • Assisting with Health & Safety audits and documentation of results and meetings.
  • Obtaining POD’s and checking of invoices.
  • Answering the phones.
  • Requirements:

    • Health & Safety experience for a office/warehouse environment.
    • A natural ability to pick up new systems, and a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and IT.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
    • Passion and enthusiasm to make things happen with strong attention to detail.
    • Good analytical skills with an ability to control a H&S system.
    • Career Orientated, proving strong ownership skills.
