Commercial Manager

Commercial Manager

Inspire Resourcing are recruiting for a Commercial Manager to work for this highly reputable construction company with multi million pound projects nationwide.

This is an excellent opportunity for those with civil engineering, mechanical and electrical experience within the water sector. This role is suitable for those who are currently working as a Commercial Manager or ready to progress to a Commercial Manager role.

Duties and responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Undertake cost to complete and budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.
  • Management of, and resolving, contractual and commercial problems.
  • Review subcontract orders and advise accordingly within the business.
  • Attend internal and external commercial review meetings with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Oversee the management information and take responsibility for the accuracy.
  • Manage and negotiate with the key strategic supply chain.
  • Offer direction and instruction and management of daily operations.
  • Ensuring that the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties.
  • Final account negotiation to achieve the best possible outcome for the business.
  • Upload documentation as and when necessary, in line with business requirements.
  • Working with the operational teams to deliver and manage performance against the Profit Improvement Plan.
  • Ensure that the delivery team are briefed and ensure support is in place to monitor and react to budget variances.
  • Preparation of monthly management high level financial performance reports.

To apply, you will have:

  • Experience in a senior commercial role within the water industry would be highly advantageous.
  • NEC 3/NEC 4 experience.
  • Engineering contracting background.
  • Commercial and contractual awareness with a proven track record of success.
  • Self-motivation, passion, and a driven can-do attitude
  • Be proactive and able to organise yourself and others workload

Car Allowance/ Company Car

Salary: £50,000 – £65000 D.O.E, plus benefits.

Due to extending business needs our client in Sheepbridge is looking for additional joiners to work on a new and exciting venture. You will need to have the following skills:

Woodwork experience (or similar) Able to use hand tools – ESSENTIAL Over head crane (an advantage) Used to heavy lifting Able to work as part of a team To apply for this temporary role of Joiner you will need:

To be available to work days – possibly weekends Happy to work in Sheepbridge Be a team player Able to listen to instructions and carry them out knowledge of mechanics or electronics also an advantage (NOT ESSENTIAL) Solar panel wiring skills also an advantage (NOT ESSENTIAL) You will be working in an industrial unit, building modular buildings which are off grid pods. It is a chance to be part of a new project and learn new skills.

Rate of pay: £10-£15 depending on experience

Lead Mechanical Project Manager

The role of Lead Mechanical Project Manager is an excellent opportunity for those with M&E experience as a Project Manager, ideally with a background on retail or commercial projects.

Duties and responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Work closely with all departments from project handover to completion on site
  • Be Responsible for overall control of installation works, approving quality and quantity of work through to handover
  • Ensure all projects in team are complete on time and within budget
  • Ensure all invoicing and cash is collected by team QS or other team members
  • Management of project managers
  • To receive and review drawings and specifications from client or main contractor
  • To resolve discrepancies with the client
  • To ensure work is carried out to a high standard
  • To maintain good working relationships with clients and main contractors
  • To complete company paperwork clearly and legibly
  • To record variations to contract
  • Complete monthly cost to complete on all live projects every month
  • Review all tender information on handover on each project from the Estimating Team

    • A high standard of education including literacy and numeracy

Assistant Project Manager

Inspire Resourcing are recruiting for an assistant project manager to work for our niche construction client in the Chesterfield area on a contract basis for 3-4 months.

Duties to include:

  • Developing Work Package Plans
  • Developing Inspection & Testing Plans
  • Creating project programmes in P6
  • Assisting PM with programme updates
  • Managing of resources including labour, plant and material
  • Liaising with clients
  • The successful candidate will ideally have the following experience and expertise:

    • Previous experience of project management desirable
    • Degree in engineering, construction, geology or similar
    • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
    • Analytical thinking
    • A professional approach
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Driving licence
    • Hours are 9am – 5pm Monday-Friday

      £12- £18 per hour depending on experience

Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor

Inspire Resourcing are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work for this highly reputable construction company with various projects nationwide.

The role of Quantity Surveyor is an excellent opportunity for those with M&E experience as a Quantity Surveyor ideally with a background on retail or hospital projects.

Duties and responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Participate in tender handover from estimating department.
  • Produce buying schedule in conjunction with PM.
  • Procure subcontract packages, approve subcontract orders ensuring compliance with specification, drawings and employers requirements.
  • Produce project cash flow forecast
  • Prepare and submit client applications accurately and in a timely manner
  • Manage subcontract applications and ensure work packages are valued correctly and on time.
  • Manage project correspondence and meeting attendance
  • Ensure monthly applications are certified on time and invoiced as appropriate.
  • Manage and agree subcontract instructions and variations
  • Submit and agree client variations and manage change request process.
  • Prepare, submit and agree the client final account
  • Conclude subcontract accounts
  • Preparation of monthly cost to compete reports accurately and on time.

To apply for the role of Quantity you will have:

  • A high standard of education including literacy and numeracy
  • Degree qualified in an RICS approved QS course would be advantageous
  • Experience in a commercial or QS role

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience
