Welder Fabricator

This is an excellent opportunity for a welder fabricator to work in a light environment.

This is a varied role assisting in the production and final assembly of a range of products that are produced in-house with duties to include:

  • Basic fabrication to include plasma cutting and welding
  • Final assembly
  • Processing raw materials through a range of surface finishing and machining equipment
  • Performing quality control checks
  • Preparing and re-stocking materials for use in production
  • General housekeeping of the production area

To apply for this role you need:

  • previous fabricating experience

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm

Due to continued success and expansion of the team our client based in Chesterfield is looking for a Production Manager. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked in a site leading a Production team with in the Engineering sector.

Some of the duties to include: 

  • managing, coaching and developing staff 
  • working alongside the planner to ensure customer demands are met
  • shop floor monitoring 
  • analyse and improve efficiency
  • control production materials and order when necessary 
  • support all continuous improvement
  • ensure quality objectives are met

 You will be joining a strong manufacturing team and need to have excellent Man Management skills

    Manufacturing Manager

    The Role

    As a Manufacturing Manager, you will be leading the plant manufacturing function, managing a team and driving performance and loss elimination. Key duties include, but not limited to:

    • Creating and implementation of improvement plan
    • Coaching and developing staff – leading by example and highlighting their potential
    • Analyse production data – ensuring you understand the root cause of any losses and finding a solution (documenting and training staff on improvements)
    • Deliver world class results in terms of delivery, cost, H&S and team management
    • You 

      The ideal candidate for the Manufacturing Manager role will have previous experience working in Technical, manufacturing or FMCG environment (at least five years. You will also possess:

    • Previous experience as a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager (other related roles also considered)
    • Lean Six Sigma (Green belt or higher)
    • Higher qualification in related subject i.e. Bachelor, Masters, HNC/HND
    • Knowledge of technical aspects of planning, safety, lines and quality
    • Proactive and switched on – a professional, with high standards for shop floor appearance
    • Natural leader, able to drive team engagement and development
