Senior Pre-Contract Engineer

Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a Senior Pre-Contract Engineer to work our South Yorkshire based civil engineering client.

The role of Senior Pre-Contract Engineer is ideal for an experienced chartered engineer looking to manage a small team and still remain hands-on in the role.

Main Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the pre-contract Engineering team, oversee enquiries & opportunities whilst providing both pre-contract & after-sales advice
  • Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team
  • Manage forecasting of hot projects providing weekly/monthly reports
  • Provide engineering and technical knowledge along with specialist advice on products
  • Assist the sales team with technical information needed enquiries, bids, tenders and supporting information for both new and existing clients
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and Company needs
  • To apply for the role you will:

    • Be a chartered engineer
    • Have previous experience in a pre-contract role
    • Have a solid technical background in structural/mechanical engineering
    • Have supervised or been senior within a team and ready to lead
    • £40-£50k

Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a chartered structural engineering manager to work for our highly reputed global client at the South Yorkshire office.

The Structural Engineering Manager is ideal for a chartered engineer from a construction/design background looking for a leadership role.

Duties to include:

  • Advise engineers on how to deliver safe, quality design solutions in accordance with project scope
  • Oversee senior staff and engineers working on client projects within the company
  • Contribute to the development of junior members of staff
  • Develop innovative winning technical solutions to support the sales team, providing the technical information required
  • Sign off on work from non-chartered engineers
  • Attend client sites when required
  • Feedback and help implement improvements to the design, pre-contract and installation teams
  • Prepare reports for Directors
  • Lead product ideation meetings and support new product development
  • To apply for this role you will need:

    • To be a chartered engineer with experience within construction and design
    • Previous experience of overseeing engineers and leading teams
    • To be comfortable making decisions
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Salary: £55- £70k
