Design Engineer

Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a design engineer to work for a highly reputed Sheffield based engineering firm.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or those with some experience who are wanting to work for a large company that offer progression opportunities.

Duties to include:

  • Providing design drawings, calculations and technical support to all divisions and departments of the businesses
  • Managing the assigned projects from receipt design request form through to submission followed by subsequent production/manufacturing drawings post confirmation
  • Managing both internal and external relationships specific to the project ensuring timely delivery of accurate information
  • Ensuring designs are accurately carried out based on the client information and occasional site-specific visits
  • Creation of manufacturing drawings once approval is received
  • Designing structural bearings through the various stages of design beginning with the calculations through to 3D modelling
  • To apply for this role you need:

    • A Bachelors Degree level or above ideally in a relevant subject such as Mechanical or Structural Engineering
    • To be proficient in the use of CAD tools – 2D Drafting and 3D Modelling, including Finite Element; ideally SolidWorks
    • To be able to interpret complex engineering drawings

Maintenance Fitter

Maintenance Fitter

Salary: £13.50 per hour


Full Time Employment – Working hours: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday – Friday, Tuesday – Saturday rotating shifts.

(3-month probation period)

Location: Barnsley

Inspire Resourcing are urgently looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the Logistics Department at a Barnsley site.

The successful candidate should have proven experience as a plant mechanic and be able to prioritize work accordingly. Having experience in fault finding is essential for this role.

Main Activities & Responsibilities of the Maintenance Fitter:

As part of the team, you will carry out the servicing, inspections and repairs of their bespoke spray machines and plant.

To apply for the role of Maintenance Fitter you will ideally have the following experience of background:


  • 2 years’ experience within machine maintenance.
  • Experience of maintaining petrol engines.
  • Experience of planned and preventative maintenance.
  • Monitoring and maintaining work in progress reports.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Advantageous (Non-essential as additional training will be provided)
    • Understanding of pipe work systems.
    • Knowledge of gear driven pumps.
    • Experience of compressor maintenance.
    • Experience of stock control.
    • Portable appliance testing.
