Assistant Supply Chain Manager

Inspire Resourcing are delighted to be working closely with our client on the lookout for an Assistant Supply Chain Manager.

This is a pivotal role in the business, you will be responsible for supporting the supply chain manager, delegating work to various departments, analysing reports and working closely with management to implement new procedures and efficiencies.

Main Duties:

Assisting management within the day to day running of the Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, Inventory Control & Quality department.

To include but not limited to:

  • Supporting Warehouse Shift Managers on spread of workforce to ensure tasks and operations are completed.
  • Analysing Warehouse Productivity daily.
  • Ensuring all staff trainings & equipment servicing are up to date.
  • Escalating any freight / transport issues and following through any claims.
  • Analysing daily checks for all departments.
  • Analysing returns / shortages.
  • Checking Orders / Line Fill / Back Order / Ins & Outs reports.
  • Ensuring all queried Purchase Orders are dealt with in a timely manner to ensure the smooth process of orders.
  • Forecasting & inventory checks
  • Supporting all team members.
  • Monitoring and driving productivity in all areas.
  • Ensuring processes & procedures are followed and implementing and reviewing all checks.
  • Looking for gains on efficiencies and accuracy in all areas.
  • Problem solving to root causes and suggesting operational improvements.
  • Analysing and reporting on KPI’s to senior management.
  • Recruitment where required across the areas.

To apply you will ideally:

  • Have previous experience in a similar role
  • Have excellent interpersonal and people management skills
  • Be able to contribute new ideas aiding business growth
  • £30k – £35k.
