Health and Safety Manager .

South Yorkshire

£30,000 – £35,000

My client is a multi-disciplined engineering company looking for a capable and experienced HSE Manager to join their South Yorkshire team. You will have overall responsibility for all Health, Safety and Environmental across the Company – ensuring full compliance with current legislation.

As well as overseeing the development and implementation of task specific risk assessments and implementing new systems, process and procedures to meet HSE regulations, you will also (not limited to):

    • Ensure all incident and accident are investigated – confirming the impact of each scenario on the company
    • Complete health, safety and environmental PQQ submissions
    • Development and maintenance of accident/incident reporting
    • Develop health, safety & environmental training packages and documentation
    • Maintain desired accreditations such as 45001, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001
    • Provider of health, safety and environmental advice and support for all levels of employees throughout the company
    • Development of audit schedules, documentation, corrective action processes
    • Develop pro-active/re-active monitoring systems such as Safety Tours and inspections
    • Identify suitable and sufficient PPE
    • Implement the company’s Health & Safety Policy in respect of all activities

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Health and Safety and be comfortable working with all areas of HSE. I am looking for a candidate who enjoys ‘getting stuck-in’ and doesn’t shy away from responsibility and leadership.

  • Must possess experience of Senior HSE Management Role within the manufacturing, Engineering or Rail sector
  • Nebosh Diploma or above is essential to this role
  • Must be able to work both independently and within a team environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You must be proactive and positive-minded
  • Full UK driver’s license required
